The Sea Queen Statement Ring

That's Exactly What I Did

Imagine this: You've finally made your first three-stone statement ring- YAY!  It's a custom piece and you're really excited to get it done and sent off to its forever home. You're setting the stones, you're almost done! And then it
happens... the setting bends in half. The piece is ruined and you have to start over.

Imagine this: You've finally made your first three-stone statement ring- YAY!  It's a custom piece and you're really excited to get it done and sent off to its forever home. You're setting the stones, you're almost done! And then it happens... the setting
bends in half. The piece is ruined and you have to start over.

This worst-case scenario that you're imagining right now was my reality. I was so excited to finish my first large piece only to accidentally bend it in the end. Later I learned that the possibility of this happening shouldn't have even been there to begin with, but it took me some time to figure out the how.

This course is the result of broken pieces, ounces of melted metal, and years of trial and error.

I'll never forget the feeling of experimenting, searching the web, and asking all the questions to try to get to the answer. What metals do I use? Does the gauge really matter? Heating a piece like this seems totally impossible. I can't get my solder to flow- what is happening? If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone-I've been there too.

I felt comfortable in what I was creating, but I knew that there was something beyond  it. You've heard it before, at this point it was time to hit the web  searches (again) and figure it out as I went. Only,,,, there was nothing there.

Don't get me wrong, there are PLENTY of courses and tutorials available with a quick search, but nothing in the style that I was looking for. Nothing that slowly and pointedly described what I needed to do step-by-step to achieve the results I wanted.

I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed and knew I'd need to figure it out on my own.
So that's exactly what I did.

Over the course of  two years I honed in on what it took to create statement pieces that carried with them heirloom quality, attention to unexpected detail,  that were comfortable to wear, and less stressful to make.

I wanted my jewelry to captivate and to last lifetimes, and I think that if you're here reading this right now, you might feel the same way too.  This course is the product of years of trial and error and the one that I wish I had when I first embarked on building statement pieces (it would have saved me a lot of time and money!).

This is the course I was looking for all along. One where someone could carefully and intentionally show me the way. To guide me in what not to do and what to make sure I remember. I'm here to do that with you now.

Join me inside of The Statement Ring Course and, I believe, your approach to statement pieces will be forever changed; simplified and far less scary. If you know that there is something more for you beyond what you're creating now, it's time. Let me be your guide to what's next.

What Saltwater & Silver Alumni Are Saying:

Better than my wildest dreams! Okay, if you are reading this, most likely you are considering investing in yourself. And let me just say, this is the BEST investment you'll ever make in a course! Steph has managed to encompass 4-6 week live course into just this one! And the best part, you can go at your own pace. Right now, is my busy season and yet I was STILL able to complete the course at my leisure. I didn't have to take off work or pay for a hotel and flights either. Now, lets talk about what's inside the course... literally ALL THE THINGS! I am not joking when I say that anyone who is a visual learner could buy this course and make this ring. Not a visual learner, that cool too because Steph made PDFs for EACH section of the course that you are able to go back and read over! The product PFD as well as tips and tricks alone were more than worth their weight in silver! Also, I LOVE that she encourages safety and the "healthier" smithing alternatives too. A vinegar pickle as opposed to a chemical one, a natural soap compared to dawn. Its refreshing to feel cared about long term as opposed to just another "mentee". In conclusion, Steph has taken her years of experience and blessed me (and hopefully you too) with a course that encompasses everything one needs to make an amazing statement piece. I hope you chose to invest in yourself and you work with this course. I promise you will NOT be disappointed! A hunter's wife,

First and foremost thank you so much for offering an online course that can be taken at any time. I am a nurse at a hospital and my schedule changes from week to week so it can be hard to schedule in person classes. This is the first statement ring that I have made with sterling silver. I make copper statement rings because sterling silver is so much more expensive and the thought of melting or ruining a large amount of sterling silver is really intimidating. This course gave me the confidence and commitment to make a large sterling silver ring. One of the best things about this course is being reminded that perfection is not the goal. You are right, people are buying handmade jewelry because they want jewelry that looks like it has been crafted by human hands 🖤

BEST. CLASS. EVER. Stephanie is so real, relatable, delightful, informative, down to earth, and clear in her teaching style. She inspires while encouraging and reminding the learner how to navigate the steps and slow down. I can't wait to go make my own things after learning with her, and take more classes, too!! THANK YOU for the effort and energy it took to create this course - it's SO amazing!
